Bugs, Galleries & Small Secret.
So what have I been up to? I have been paintings some bugs, finished my very first miniature project & starting with a very special miniature project that I will keep secret for now.
Bugs, Art Gallery & Small Secret Project.
So I love to make very colourful art & this is why I am loving this butterfly series. (If you haven’t seen the series before, you can check it out here) This time I tried something slightly different. So far I have painted some solo butterfly designs, but this time I am working on a set of 4 small butterfly paintings.
The colour palette I am using for this is becoming one of my favourite colour palette. They are coming along nicely & they will be finished (hopefully) soon.
Along with these bugs, I have finished my very first miniature project, a small scene of a Art Gallery displaying my 5 beauties with colourful hair.
I figured this is a surest way to get featured into a at gallery! ;-)
The whole thing started with this one sketch,
I was going to turn it into a fridge magnet. All my recent paintings, small pins/tiny paintings & butterfly paintings I am using MDF boards, & as they don’t come in such small sizes I have to cut them to sizes. While doing that I got left with some odd sized pieces, which roughly matched the first sketch. & a series came to mind. So 5 beauties came to be. Meanwhile, I was looking for display ideas for the Tiny-paintings-that-are-really-hand-painted-pins project. That is when I came across some miniature gallery scenes. & then this came to be.
The bench on right & name labels were something I came up at the very last minute.
I have not made it available on shop yet because I wanted to make it wall hanging, & am waiting for the metal hooks to arrive. (Yes I did not think about that before..... you learn things as you are doing.....things)
& About that secret project. I will only say 3 things about it.
1.It is also a miniature project similar to Above one.
2. There will be a tiny painting.
3. If you love to collect original art, you will like this. If you appreciate hand-crafted miniature things you will like this. If you love previous two & books, you will LOVE this.
