Wear A Painting (Pins)

Imagine you have worn one of these lapel pins, on a social occasion. 

Them: Ooh that is pretty, what is it?

You: Oh it’s a tiny framed painting.

Them: *amazed, impressed & maybe just tiny bit jealous*

These hand painted lapel pins are a fun & playful project of mine, it started with a thought that if a 100cm x 100cm is a painting then what stops a 2cm x 2cm from also being one?

So I cut my own MDF panels to size (they vary between 2 x 2 cm to 2.5 x 2.4 cm, without frame) & painted & framed these tiny paintings. But instead of walls, they get to hang out on you.

It’s a challenging project for me because of it’s scale & it is probably challenging for you because it breaks the norm of a ‘painting’. For size.

But in the end, they are cute, colourful & definitely conversation starters.
